Our history

Rawlinson & Hunter LLP is a Chartered Accountancy firm that was established in London in 1933 by Alfred Rawlinson, John Hannaford and Robert Hunter. From the early days the client profile was distinguished enough to include a future Prime Minister. The firm became Rawlinson & Hunter LLP following the resignation of John Hannaford in 1938. The clientele was made up of three distinct groups; inherited wealth, stars of the stage and screen and commercial (including several football pools companies).

Robert Hunter was a frequent business traveler and it was largely due to his efforts in bringing in new international clients that the overseas offices were established; firstly in Bermuda and then in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jersey, Guernsey, Switzerland (Geneva and Zurich), Australia, New Zealand and, more recently, Singapore.

Clients stay with Rawlinson & Hunter LLP for decades, thanks to the quality of service we offer. We provide advice and services to some of the wealthiest companies and individuals in the world.
